37 Days – Holiday project.
Friday’s are always a bit quieter than normal, and during the holiday period even quieter still, but to sit in a completely empty bus is really quite a privilege.
When I got home I reclined in my favourite deckchair and waited patiently for dinner, tea, evening meal or whatever you call it where you live. Glancing by chance at the chimney against the clear blue summer sky, it’s hard to believe that in about three months time smoke will be rising and I will be sitting with pullover in the warm.
